Van Bixler Art

Van Bixler

In my practice I create highly detailed paintings and illustrations that revolve around the exposition of unity and the idea that connections are the vertices of our universe. To articulate this idea I use universal truths, coincidences, synchronicities, contradictions, and shared experiences in the form of personal anecdotes. I address interculturalism in my work, as well as advocate for non-binary and trans people. Identifying as non-binary and androgynous, I see from a vantage point that provides an excellent position to purvey human solidarity and earthly connections. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco (2000), I am currently in Perry, Georgia where my family relocated in 2011.
